Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. She is most famous for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. She is best known for her performance in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a housewife. She grew up in a family which included four brothers. While she was a small girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. But in highschool, when she started modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. Her first film role was as a teenage innocent as a child in All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of TV dramas and films. Like her career but her personal life hasn't been easy or prosperous. She has also experienced two failed marriages, and has struggled with alcohol addiction. She was divorced in 2005 and was denied custody of the only child she was born with.
